I am exploring usage of SlingInternalRequest on AEM as a Cloud Service and have referenced the below articles for implementation - https://sling.apache.org/documentation/bundles/servlet-helpers.html https://kiransg.com/tag/slinginternalrequest/ https://techrevel.blog/2025/07/08/slinginternalrequest-a-cleaner-way-to-reuse-aem-servlets-with-internal-api-access/   However the core java bundle is not resolving after including code that imports the java package from sling-servlet-helpers.   Has anyone tried to use SlingInternalRequest in AEM as a Cloud Service and are able to share any additional steps they had to take to make it work ?   ThanksNarendra

Our team is considering migrating to AEM 6.6. While we've seen documentation highlighting performance enhancements and Java 17 compatibility, we're looking for a more comprehensive understanding of the advantages this upgrade provides.   Specifically, are there any significant new features, improved functionalities, or other notable benefits we should be aware of before making the decision? Thanks in advance for your expertise!

Is it possible to use the MetaTitle added via the DAM of PDFs files rather than the title that would have been used at the time of the PDF creation? When a PDF link is shared via social or email, the title can sometimes me incorrect. Usually an oversight by the author. However adjusting the metatitle in the DAM doesn't update the <title> displayed in browsers, or when the link to the file is shared. Is this a known issue? Or is it something we can adjust in AEM to ensure the DAM MetaTitle is the one used in the <title> </title> of a page?

Hello,   How can we access recording of AEMUG - Women in Tech Chapter ? Example: https://aem-augs.adobe.com/events/details/adobe-experience-manager-aemug-women-in-tech-chapter-presents-establishing-and-maintaining-metadata-in-aem-assets-for-genai-readiness/    I am unable to find them in youtube channel of AEM user groups.   CC: @kautuk_sahni

We have approximately 20000 assets. There is a custom attribute on the asset ([asset]/jcr: content/metadata/marketing base information/releaseTime).When using querybuilder.json to query assets, if using @ jcr: content/jcr: lastModified sorting, the speed is fast. If using releaseTime sorting, the query time is 1 minute.I created an index, but it didn't work, and the query time is still 1 minute. Is there a problem with my index creation?

I see a similar issue is asked on this forum, so I thought I'd raise my problem here to hopefully find the owner/manager of this tool.https://experienceleaguecommunities.adobe.com/t5/adobe-experience-manager/oak-index-definition-generator-url-not-working/td-p/634336  We deploy indexes as .content.xml files, so having XML feature working in this tool is very helpful & important - as it stands it doesn't work and forces us to construct indexes manually.Steps to reproduce:1. Open https://oakutils.appspot.com/generate/index 2. Using default query, click 'Generate' button3. Click "XML" tab to view outpuitExpected results:3. index generated and formatted as XMLActual results:3. XML content is empty (blank)

I have a SQL2 query that needs indexing: SELECT * FROM [nt:base] AS s WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE([/content/homepage/jcr:content]) But I got this error:no proper index was found for filter Filter(query=explain SELECT * FROM [nt:base] AS s WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE([/content/homepage/jcr:content]) , path=/content/homepage/jcr:content//*) Traversal query (query without index): explain SELECT * FROM [nt:base] AS s WHERE ISDESCENDANTNODE([/content/homepage/jcr:content]) ; consider creating an index I was wondering which field I could create index for here? Because I don't see any fields being used that I can index... Thanks~!

https://oakutils.appspot.com/generate/indexIs there any alternative for above URL to generate indexes for AEM 6.5. This URL seems to be down since past couple of days.

I have just finished configuring Dispatcher and have apparently made a configuration error that I can't see m to fin.  I have a server with Author, Publisher, and IIS installed on it, and I have configured Dispatcher to work with IIS (AEM 5.6.1, Dispatcher-iis-windows-x64-4.1.4).  I have activated teh Publish agent from my Author instance and that is working fine, I see page changes when made.   When I go to the Publisher URL (http://localhost:4505/content/geometrixx/en.html) I get the correct page view.  When I go to http://localhost/content/geometrixx/en.html I get a 404 error.  My dispatcher log shows the following:[Mon Feb 24 15:04:42 2014] [D] [3704(6024)] Dispatcher initializing (build 4.1.4)[Mon Feb 24 15:04:42 2014] [D] [3704(6024)] farms[website].homepage = /geometrixx/en.html[Mon Feb 24 15:04:42 2014] [D] [3704(6024)] farms[website].cache.docroot = C:\inetpub\wwwroot[Mon Feb 24 15:04:42 2014] [I] [3704(6024)] Dispatcher initialized (build 4.1.4)[Mon Feb 24 15:04:42 2014] [D]

Hi - My organisation receives imagery from suppliers, which is directly uploaded into DAM. Creative team then does edits if the assets are not meeting quality standards, which then creates further versions. In this case original image received from supplier becomes version 1.0. If we don't do anything this 1.0 version gets dropped by the Version Cleanup process at some point as the number of versions increase. My organisation wants to retain this original version all the time and let the intermediate versions drop.Is there anyway I can retain the original version?Regards,Kiran

Hello All, Recently I noticed that ZIP files that are stored in the DAM and are referenced in websites do not show their references (links) in the Metadata properties / References tab. Other files like documents, pdfs and images of course show their reference links, but the ZIPs dont.... Is this a ZIP file thing, or bug, or... ? This is important because when conducting asset audit I usually prioritise deleting files that are not referencing and are expired. This potentially may lead to a very unpleasant situation and is nearly impossible to check. Running reports to scan for references does not pick it up either... Running on-prem version with SP22.  Thanks!

Hi Community, I am working on an AEM as a Cloud Service project and facing an issue with Dispatcher caching. When I request pages with different Sling selectors, they are getting cached as the same response. For example, /content/my-site/page.print.html and /content/my-site/page.pdf.html both return the same cached content even though the selector is different. How can I configure Dispatcher in AEMaaCS so that different selectors are cached separately? Thanks for your help!

If yes to the question above, how can I do it?--------------redirect = I want to redirect the user from page X to page Y based on certain conditions. I know I can use a filter for this one but just wondering if it can be done from a Sling model. Thank you!

Hi Community, I’m creating Content Fragments for multiple languages in AEM. Each translation ends up as a separate fragment with its own UUID.Is there a recommended way to link or associate these fragments together so we know they represent different translations of the same object? Thanks for your help!

Hey there, does anyone here know if a Brand Portal user with Editor or Viewer level can share collections they create with other Brand Portal users? At the moment my Brand Portal instance only allows (BP) administrators to share collections with specific users. I would love users to be able to share amongst colleagues or other users (not the public option, but to specific users they want their collections to be shared with).

Hi, Is there a way to retrieve the asset's metadata properties during a re-upload? Currently, when the same asset is re-uploaded, all the previous metadata properties are lost because new metadata is being written. How can we read the previous metadata before the asset is replaced? We are using AEM 6.5 Thank you. @arunpatidar @estebanbustamante @aanchal-sikka

In our current project, when publishing a page, the workflow includes an approval process after which the page is given an onTime property so that it will be published automatically at the specified time. However, when the workflow adds the onTime property to the page, AEM first unpublishes the page and then republishes it automatically once the specified time is reached. My question is: when adding the onTime property to a page (e.g., /content/projectA/mypage/jcr:content), is it possible to suppress AEM’s default behavior of unpublishing the page? For reference, when the onTime property is added to content under /content/dam, the content is not unpublished—instead, it is simply published automatically once the onTime is reached.

We have started a workflow and assigned it to some user/group. Now, the notification goes to the respective user/group and they can view it by clicking on the bell icon. Now in inbox where we have the assigned tasks - there are some inbuilt options like "Complete", "Payload" etc that comes up when any workflow related task is selected. Refer to the following image for further clarity. Now, my requirement is to have custom options put in here as well - something like "Reject" which will straight away remove the task from the queue and send it back to the initiator of the workflow (author). And another one should be "Archive" which will basically have the page (if published) unpublished and then save it in some folder named Archive. Need some help on how to implement this.

I have a requirement to configure mailgun as my smtp host in order to share assets over an email using the Asset share common in AEMaaCS. When I click on the share option I get th below error message. Caused by: org.apache.commons.mail.EmailException: Sending the email to the following server failed : proxy.tunnel:30587 at org.apache.commons.mail.Email.sendMimeMessage(Email.java:1469) at org.apache.commons.mail.Email.send(Email.java:1496) at com.day.cq.mailer.impl.DefaultMailService.send(DefaultMailService.java:331) ... 234 more Caused by: javax.mail.AuthenticationFailedException: 535 Authentication failed at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport$Authenticator.authenticate(SMTPTransport.java:965) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.authenticate(SMTPTransport.java:876) at com.sun.mail.smtp.SMTPTransport.protocolConnect(SMTPTransport.java:780) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:388) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Service.java:246) at javax.mail.Service.connect(Servic

Hi All ,  I have a servlet ajax call in my JS file using path type  and this JS file is not part of any component but a theme clientlibrary used for one of our child website. I want to convert that servlet path type to resourceType for cloud. How is the best approach to handle such Servlets and how we can convert to resourcetype.

We are experiencing an issue where a specific JavaScript file is not loading properly in our AEM environment. The issue persists even after restarting the AEM instances hosted on AWS. The JS file is either not loading at all or returning a 404 error. We have verified that the file exists in the repository. Restarting the AEM instances did not resolve the issue. No recent changes were made to the file or its path. The file has been published and activated in AEM publisher and author.Path of the JS file in AEM: etc/designs/chase-demo/clientlibs.min.js.

Hello, I am leaving my company. I am currently the administrator. I would like to reassign the administrator role to two other users. I keep receiving this error message when I attempt to log in to the Adobe Admin Console.   I have been one of only two admins for nearly 10 years. The other one is recently deceased, and I deleted the profile in Adobe Learning Manager. Please advise. Kind regards, Jeremy Farmer

I have a use case that is resource-intensive, and I cannot run it on the author instance. Instead, I want to execute it on a single publisher, save the output as a DAM file, and then sync it across other publishers. To achieve this, I decided to use Sling Content Distribution (forward distribution). Here’s what I’ve done so far:Set up a forward distribution agent and a trigger on the source publisher.Configured a local distribution package importer on the target instance. From the source publisher side, the connection test is successful, and when I try distributing content from the console it reports “package delivered.” However, I don’t see any updates reflected in the target instance. One observation: I can see the POST calls in the target instance’s request logs, but the actual content updates aren’t showing up. Has anyone faced a similar issue or know what I might be missing in this setup?
