How to reset OSGI sling console password

I've forgotten my OSGI sling console password, is there a way to reset it? I've tried re-setting the user password as suggested in this thread: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/922880

Is there any other way to get this fixed?

Also, the admin users of my machine are not able to login into OSGI console using their credentials, do they need any special permission to do this or they are not allowed to login into OSGI console at all?

The use case you are demositration not possible from 5.5 onwards. Are you using older version ? If so which one.

admins are able to login to the OSGi console -- what is happening when they attempt to do so?
