How to make a custom shaped button in inDesign Cs6 (Digital Publishing).

I would like to know if it is possible to create a button where ONLY the (non-rectangular) image is interactive, not the space around it.

I can alter the images bounding box, but not the buttons interactive area to anything other than a rectangle.

Not possible. Only hack would be making multiple buttons of various sizes but I don’t advise doing that.
