How to get the admin privileges back

Hi,

We recently have faced few issues on a production author instance (CQ5.5) where :

1. Due to some strange reasons the "admin" user doesn't have the privileges to access the CRX repository. Though, the user is able to access the OSGI console. Paths like /, /crxde,/useradmin or in other words all consoles are not accessible except felix. We are getting a 403 response.

URLs I can access :
/system/console
/crx/explorer/index.jsp (I can create groups /user but not able to assign the privileges.)

2. Repository size is huge. It has grown upto 850 GBs.

Does anyone have pointers as to how can I get privileges to access the CRX repository?

Hi,

you should be able to access the CRXDE Lite at /crx/de/index.jsp; when the UI is not displayed properly, you have a different problem. When it's displayed, you should be able to login using the admin credentials. IIRC you cannot remove permissions from the admin user.

kind regards,
Jörg

If you are not able to assign privileges as per the AEM documentation:

http://docs.adobe.com/docs/en/cq/current/administering/security.html

you may have encountered a bug. Please file a ticket at http://helpx.adobe.com/marketing-cloud/experience-manager.html.
