How to drag and drop Scene 7 images from Scene 7 content finder to custom components without importing images into DAM

Hi,

Our client has requirement where Scene 7 Images need to be dragged and dropped from content finder to any custom component  without importing that in DAM. I am able to drag and drop Scene 7 images from Scene 7 content finder to Scene 7 components like Zoom etc, but not for any other custom component or OOB image component. Is there any way to do this in CQ out-of-the-box or am I missing something very trivial?

Quick response would be appreciated

Thanks,

Abhijit

See this AEM Doc topic:

Typically to drag images from the AEM Content Finder to an AEM component (or custom component) is you have to place the assets in the DAM. You may have to import the images into the DAM so they appear in the Content Finder. See this topic in the above link:

CONFIGURING SCENE7 TO ADOBE DAM SYNCHRONIZATION

Hope this helps.
