How to disable snapshot creation on AEM 5.6.1 when installing package with sub-packages?

Hi All.

When I install a package with sub-packages AEM 5.6.1 creates snapshots. I'd like to disable this behavior because it's time consuming and takes up a lot of resources.

When I install any of the sub-packages individually AEM doesn't create a snapshot.

In the logs I see "Creating snapshot for package..."

Is there a way I can disable snapshot creation when installing an aggregate package?

IIRC Currently in aem 5.6.1 only possible through the API but not through the GUI.
