You can attempt to revoke permissions for the node /conf/global. This action is the opposite of what is suggested in the article at https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-cloud-kcs/kbarticles/ka-19551, where granting jcr:all permissions to a group allows for successful creation of Language Copies.

The Language Copy feature is enabled by two things:

To disable it for a user/group:

  • Best: remove them from project-administrators – menu item disappears.
  • Or at least revoke their access on /conf/global – menu may still show, but they can’t successfully create Language Copies.
