Hi @winter_bunny,
The propagation of a new release version from Dev to Stage and Prod happens automatically - but with a few key timings to understand:
-
Adobe publishes a new AEM Maintenance release 3–5 days before it’s applied across environments.
-
Once Dev is updated (manually), in my observation - it typically takes a few hours to a couple of days, depending on automated test results and deployment rollout.
-
Overall, expect Dev first, then Stage within hours-to-days, then Prod - typically fully rolled out within 1–3 days after the Dev update.
Once your Dev environment reflects the new release version via Cloud Manager: Run pipeline on Dev to deploy the updated release version.
Now, in short and to answer your actual question: No, Adobe does not mention a fixed or guaranteed timeframe for when Stage and Prod environments will be updated after the Dev environment receives a new AEM version.
Here’s what Adobe officially states: "Adobe deploys the updates in a phased manner across environments (first Dev, then Stage, and finally Prod) after a brief pre-announcement period. The time taken can vary based on environment-specific validations and pipeline executions."
