Granite HTTP Cache Filter docs

Since AEM 6.0 there is "Granite HTTP Cache - Core Bundle" which I guess can work as an outer cache.
Unfortunately I cannot find any documentation on this topic. Does anybody know more about this or can share some link/details ?

Additionally is HTTP Cache Filter production ready and officially supported ?

I don't think you can find the documentation for every bundle. I suggest you to read the inputs and variables for this bundle and get the classes available for this package.

You may be able to find the documentation on API's available in this bundle.
