Generate Variations in AEM On Prem

Is there any plan to add Generate Variations feature in AEM On-Premises version?

Hi Sreenivas,

Currently, the "Generate Variations" feature, which utilizes generative AI to create content variations, is designed and supported primarily for AEM Cloud Service. This feature leverages Adobe's generative AI capabilities, such as Firefly, to generate variations of text or images based on prompts. It is deeply integrated with Edge Delivery Services and the AEM Cloud architecture, making it a part of the modern, cloud-based infrastructure.

There is no official communication in the release notes, internal wikis, or product updates about extending "Generate Variations" to the on-premises version of AEM. The focus remains on enhancing cloud-based offerings.

Hi @sreenivasbr,

I do not think Generate Variations or other Generative AI to be available on AEM On-Premise at all. In general AEM On-Premise is not getting any new features/functionalities for a while. In my opinion AEM On-Premise version is rather in maintenance/support phase so would be surprised if Generate Variations to be available in the future.

Nevertheless I would suggest to contact Adobe person designated to support your company (e.g Customer Success Engineer), or raise a question via Adobe support portal to get information directly from Adobe.
