G1 GC or Generational ZGC for AEM ON Prem LTS 6.5

We are planning our JVM configuration for an AEM 6.5 LTS on-premises environment and are evaluating whether to continue using G1 GC or move to Generational ZGC (JDK 21).

Has anyone deployed AEM 6.5 LTS in production with Generational ZGC? If so:

• How has it performed compared to G1 GC?
• Did you observe any improvements in GC pause times, throughput, or overall system responsiveness?
• Were there any challenges related to AEM, Oak, workflows, indexing, replication, or large content repositories?
• Would Adobe recommend G1 GC or Generational ZGC for production AEM 6.5 LTS deployments on JDK 21?

Any real-world experiences, recommendations, or Adobe guidance would be greatly appreciated.
