Error uploading assets in AEM 6.4 GA

Hi masters!

I've an issue when uploading assets to an AEM 6.4 GA vanilla installation.

With the admin user, it works perfect.

But I've created a user and added to the 'DAM Users' group. With this new user, when I upload an asset, the UI shows an error (tried with different file extensions):

If you refresh the page, the asset is perfectly loaded. By the message, it seems like the browser is trying to load the asset 2 times at the same moment).

Same behaviour with Chrome and Firefox.

I've googled but I can't find any reference. Could you reproduce it? Any idea?

Thank you very much! Kind regards,

J.

Ok,

it seems that the issue is happening only if you use a drag&drop to upload the asset.

I test it also in AEM 6.4.3.0 and i've the same error also for Admin user.

I suggest to open a Daycare ticket.

Thanks,

Antonio

Hi,

are you using the drag&drop to insert the image?

I've the same issue by using the drag&drop, but it works properly by clicking on "Create>File".

Let us know if it works by using the "Create>File". If it works i suggest you to install the new Service Pack or open a daycare ticket.

Thanks,

Antonio

Use the TOuch UI and then click Create File.

Created a new user named Foo and added it to the DAM User Group. I was able to upload a file from the TOUCH UI

I never use drag and drop - to upload an Asset to the DAM - i always use the TOUCH UI from the Asset interface:

ie - http://localhost:4502/assets.html/content/dam/Lab2018

Thank you guys. It's like Antonio said. I think it deserves a Daycare ticket.

After opening a ticket with Daycare, they told me the issue is fixed in AEM 6.4.3.0. I've checked it, and it's correct.

Just for clarify.

Thanks again.

Kind regards,

J.
