Email subscription using Adobe AEM

Hi All

how to implement Email subscription using Adobe AEM as cloud, as Adobe campaign is not the preferred option.

Adobe documentation says, Email subscription via AEM was supported in the past but now it is not recommended using AEM Site.

please share some direction here,

Its always recommended to maintain the email services using 3rd party tools like Adobe campaign, SDFC marketing cloud etc as AEM is more into CMS
