Doubt on "Saving configuration directly via the Felix Console is stored in the filesystem, not in the repository"

Hi All,

Last paragraph in article below says :

https://helpx.adobe.com/experience-manager/kb/LoadingOrderFelixConfig.html

"Please note: saving configuration directly via the Felix Console is stored in the filesystem, not in the repository. This is also the case if a repository-based configuration is modified via the Felix Console: these changes are not saved back into the repository and will not be applied on the next restart of the system."

- Is this applicable to 5.6.1 version too?

-But I have seen that configuration changes made via Felix console remain intact even after restart. I am getting confused here.

This statement is true, but the behaviour changed with recent versions (I don't know if it's true for 5.6.1); then the chanages are written to /apps/system/config.

kind regards,
Jörg
