Does a collection have to have an image?

Trying to build the "home" browse page...

I have already uploaded the image that i would like to use for the banner... When creating a "collection" do you have to attach an image? or can you leave it blank?

Can you build your browse page first? to get an idea as to how you would want content to flow?

Collections always have to have an image to be published, but I believe you can preview without one specified.
