Difference between runDataStoreGarbageCollection and runDataStoreClassicGarbageCollection in 5.6.1

Hi All,

In the link http://localhost:4502/system/console/jmx/com.adobe.granite%3Atype%3DRepository, we have these two options mentioned 


runDataStoreGarbageCollection(java.lang.Boolean delete)
Runs data store garbage collection


runDataStoreClassicGarbageCollection(java.lang.Boolean delete)
Runs data store garbage collection, avoiding the use of the optimized TarPM garbage collection

I could not quite understand the explanation provided. Can some one please provide a detailed explanation here.

Hi Scott,

I went through the KB article but was not able to understand the explanation provided "Runs data store garbage collection, avoiding the use of the optimized TarPM garbage collection"
