Deep links from outside the app

Hi guys,

According to docs (https://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-solution/help/hyperlinks.html#external-deep-links) this link should work on iOS and Android: "At this time, this deep linking technique works only in iOS and Android apps."

dps.<publicationID>://?entityRef=/publication/<publicationId>/article/<articleName>&viewRef=/publication/<publicationId>/view/<collectionName>

But from what we just tested it only worked in iOS and only in Safari (Chrome gives DNS error for dps.<publicationID> server), and only if the app is already installed. Is there, please, some white papers explaining AEM Mobile deep links more detailed, so we can see what could be done?
