cq5 backup as tar

Hi All,

I am trying to make the CQ5 online backup to compress as a tar file rather than zip which would be faster as compared to zip for huge data.

I know snap shot backup we can do but we don't want to stop our instance and wanted to take the backup to compress as tar using the current online backup mechanism.

Any help be highly appreciated.

This is not directly supported. What you can do is backup to a directory and then tar the directory when the backup is complete.
