CQ 5.6 not loading when connected to VPN with Cisco

I've recently installed CQ 5.6 on my mac.  Whenever I connect to my company's VPN using AnyConnect Cisco, it doesn't load properly.  It will take a really long time to start up and then whenever I try to go to any page such as localhost:4502 or localhost:4502/crx/packmgr I will get an http 503 error.  

Whenever I don't use the vpn, CQ tools and pages load fine, but I need to connect to the VPN because of certain security configurations for the company's website to load. 

Has anyone else ever had this issue with CQ and VPN?

Other relevant information:

Mac OS 10.11.5

JDK version 7 update 80

Connected to VPN using cisco any connect software

    Hi Sahir,

         It is VPN config blocking access to localhost. Check with your network IT team  & they will help.   Alternative try accessing with ip/hostname instead of local loop back.
