Is this on the "roadmap" for any time soon?

It seems like being able to place remote content, for ads or other custom content, in a card or banner would be a basic requirement to creating a dynamic app...

Hi Jeff, we are exploring custom HTML Cards with API access. These items do not yet have delivery targets but are under consideration.
