Asset Meta Data for AEM 6.1

is it possible to include asset metadata when exporting the file from AEM?

For example, if I have a metadata value for an asset in AEM of 'Region' (metadata) can that be included in the document XMP file(or another way) when exporting the content.

    Hi Mike,

    AEM Assets metadata import and export capabilities allow content authors to easily move asset metadata in and out of AEM and leverage the power of Microsoft Excel to manipulate metadata at scale, facilitating the bulk update metadata for existing assets in AEM.

    Please refer the below documents which is basically for 6.4  , I hope it helps but I am not sure whether it is available in 6.1
