After an upgrade from CQ 5.3 to CQ 5.5, the sidekick is empty

I upgraded from CQ5.3 to 5.5. Sidekick is empty for my custom site. For the geomatrixx site, it works perfectly.

I noticed there are JS errors while the page is loading - [11:59:57.715] TypeError: design is undefined @ /libs/cq/ui/widgets/source/widgets/wcm/EditBase.js:914

Please help to solve this.

Hi chicago coc,

Make sure in your website design the "sling:resourcetype" is mapped to "wcm/core/components/designer" instead of "wcm/designer".
