AEM Target integration directly and via DTM

I did a integration between AEM-Target (directly and also via DTM). Configured the sites page and the experience fragment by selecting direct and DTM config name under cloud service. Exported XF to Target. Started targeting using Target Engine. Created activity and audience. Targetted a hero image for those audiences using query. But the targetted image for those audience doenst change with the change in query, the default is displayed in all the cases. In the network im getting the target delivery call with status 200. I am using AEM 6.5. Any help would be appreciated.

//This was tested last on AEM 6.4, and I don't see much of a change in AEM 6.5 for this. Please verify if you have followed the same steps and not missing anything?
