AEM Meets Generative AI: Configuring Agentic Translation with Azure OpenAI

AEM as a Cloud Service now supports agentic translation powered by Azure OpenAI - replacing segment-level machine translation with an LLM that understands context, tone, and brand voice.

I wrote a step-by-step guide covering the full setup: from creating an Azure OpenAI resource in Microsoft Foundry, to connecting it to AEM's Translation Integration Framework, to uploading brand style guides that generate enforceable translation rules. The article also covers what's not yet available (glossary and TM support) and where this is heading next.

Thanks for sharing and yes definitely looking forward to try this. Having used many different Translation Connectors with AEM, I personally also wanted to try building one of my own. Here is my attempt - https://github.com/narendragandhi/aem-translategemma-connector (Not yet tested).

Had a glance and it looks interesting on how you’re leveraging TM stored in JCR. The OOTB AEM Agentic translation should also evolve in a similar manner to allow translation efficiencies using TMs and Glossaries in near future.
