I see AEM's version of jQuery runs way back than the latest one available. So trying to understand if there is an advantage to use AEM jQuery vs latest jQuey (v3 which is faster and light weight) ?

Hi

As mentioned by Scott, we can use either Jquery.

Please have a look at this community article explaining it:-

If you would like to integrate Jquery Framework with AEM, then have a look at this:-

I hope this would help you.

Thanks and Regards

One advantage of using AEM JQuery is it handles cross domain issues when using AJAX.

Right. But we can also achieve that by declaring a dependency to granite.csrf.standalone which should take care of cross-domain issues.

Correct, that is only advantage of AEM JQuery i am aware of. If you want to use later version and  add that dependency, you should be fine.

Hi @kautuk_sahni, any ways are you guys thinking to restore or update broken urls in AEM community forum? There are hundreds of links redirected user to invalid links(mainly the older version of AEM documentation pages).
