Hi Everyone,

Similar issue has been faced, however no resolution:

Unpublished pages in AEM are being included in sitemap.xml

Even after un-publishing pages in AEM are being included in sitemap.xml

The above screenshot is from publisher instance where de-sitemap.xml was un-published from author instance and verified that the page is not present over on publish instance but sitemap generation schedular is unable to delete it from /var/sitemaps/content/aot/global/de-sitemap.xml

Hi @santoshsa2 ,

Ideally, deactivating page should delete it from Publish instance, can you check if page is still present in publish.
Also ,try to check below things:

  • Check if the page is not cached in the CDN.
  • Look into replication/error logs, for this page in both author and publish.
  • Check if there are any issues in the activation queue, (the queue is blocked).

Hi,

Could you please verify the following:

  1. Did the sitemap scheduler run after the unpublished pages were removed?
  2. Was the cache properly flushed (expired via TTLs)?
  3. Are there still entries for the unpublished pages in your sitemap.xml (the live sitemap URL)?
