AEM 6 | Workflow | Participant component | incorrect behavior for email

Hello All,

I am facing an issue with Workflow Participant step. What i am doing is:

Version: AEM6.1

Workflow: I am Using All OOB components in my model. No custom code. My workflow is using participant step like:

Issue: I am trying to use OOB email notification feature to send email to selected user/group (Email box is checked). Every time an editor start workflow and select a user, workflow send email to all users in group instead of sending email to selected user only.

Am i missing something or is it a defect in product ?

Please help me to solve this issue.

You have selected the group & email will send out to all member of group as expected.

If you specified a user correctly and the email is sent to all users in a group -- this is a bug. It should only send email to the specified user. Please file a ticket here:

The problem is that when author select a user only, email still goes to all group users (which is configured in WF model).
