AEM 6.3 SP1 /bin: base version does not exist

Dear Experts,

currently I'm having trouble installing SP1 on AEM 6.3 author instance

The error message is:

Error during processing:

org.apache.jackrabbit.vault.packaging.PackageException: java.lang.IllegalStateException: Base version does not exist for /bin

    at org.apache.jackrabbit.vault.packaging.impl.ZipVaultPackage.extract(ZipVaultPackage.java:239)

    at org.apache.jackrabbit.vault.packaging.impl.JcrPackageImpl.extract(JcrPackageImpl.java:397)

    at org.apache.jackrabbit.vault.packaging.impl.JcrPackageImpl.installDependencies(JcrPackageImpl.java:747)

...

How can it be corrected?

The reply was:

It’s a bad error.

It will be better if the log a case.

Although if this is just one node, they can create a package of the same node, then delete the node, then redeploy the package.

With a fresh redeploy it will create a node with no versions and hence fix the issue
