AEM 5.6.1 PIN AUTHENTICATOR

Hi,

I am trying to work with the CQ PIN Authenticator as per instructions given @

http://dev.day.com/docs/en/cq/current/administering/cq_as_portal.html

The OSGi console shows this bundle as DEPRECATED and the description says " PLEASE NOTE: for security reasons this handler has been deprecated and should no longer be used."

Is there an alternate PIN handler available in 5.6.1 or is this feature totally deprecated now ?

hi sunjeet,

 

the PinAuthenticationHandler is deprecated and doesn't exist (so far) a replacement.

If you describe what you are trying to do maybe we can figure out a valid alternative to the  PinAuthenticationHandler you can use

I want to use Portal UI to present content editing options , both on Portal (which I can do using Portal Director Toolbar ) and on the AEM instance. Basically I want to achieve the purpose of the current PIN handler.
