Does anyone have any documents that confirm that Adobe Experience Manager Communities is a component of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) v6.x.

AEM communities is an add on product to AEM sites and requires a separate license to be purchased before you use it in production. Contact your Adobe account representatives to know more about the license cost.
