5.6.1 service pack 2 user login names no longer case insensitive?

I am just testing 5.6.1 service pack 2. We seem to have an issue that when logging into AEM Author, that the user name is no longer case insensitive.

I am logging in with an LDAP user. The user ID is stored as upper case in the LDAP. But AEM does initially recognise the user if logging in with the user name in lower case. It creates the user ID in upper case, but then says the username and password are incorrect. If I do put the user name in Upper case it works. Is this a bug or new functionality in SP2? Is there a way to make the logging in case insensitive again?

The issue is fixed in AEM 6.1 & there is hotfix for AEM6. Yours is 5.6.1 & we need to backport fix into 5.6.1 sp2. Please file support ticket & mention the business impact to take it further.
