AEM Edge Delivery Service, CDN Fastly Compared to AEMaaCS

So for AEMaaCS, out of the box, these websites are closely coupled to fastly CDN and cannot be removed. While looking at the aem.live website for launch, https://www.aem.live/docs/byo-cdn-fastly-setup, it says that BYO CDN needs to be configured... does this mean that we need to pay for another CDN just to have a Edge Delivery Service running on production?

Hi @supportmember

I would suggest to connect with Adobe on this or check on their discord channel

Hi @supportmember

No, you can rely on Adobe's Fastly CDN.

But how do we connect AEM Edge Delivery Service website to the Fastly CDN, here are the steps that I think we should follow

  1. Visit Cloud Manger > Domain
  2. Add new Domain
  3. Configure new Domain with SSL
  4. Configure new domain under the CDN configurations, but from the dropdown, I can only see environments and author or publish options... where is the AEM Edge Delivery Service option?
