I need to understand how to personalize content shown to a visitor based on his first or repeat visit to their website. Since, we don't know the visitor's identity, I think all we have at this point in time is the visitor's IP address on the server and 1st party cookie storing the online behavior of visitorCan we match this IP address or 1st party cookie to maybe a third party data provider's cookies and extract demographic and behavioral information about that visitor and segment them in a DMP?If the answer to above Q is yes, what are such 3rd party onboarder services and their match rates?What are key considerations that one has to keep in mind in terms of selecting an onboarder?

When the trait expiration interval is set to 1 day, does it mean that the trait membership will be live for 24 hours from when the trait is first realised?Example: If Audience Manager receives a server call for a Rule-Based trait at 5PM on 13th Dec, does the trait remain live for 24 hours or does it expire at 11:59:59 PM on that day?

Hi,As per the documentation splitting of large inbound file can be achieved with below format.The following examples show properly formatted file names. Your file names could look similar.ftp_dpm_478_1366545717.sync.1.gzftp_dpm_478_1366545717.sync.2.gzBut i am not sure whether it could work for uncompressed files with the format "ftp_dpm_478_1366545717.sync.1". Because when i save the file with this format it doesn't seems to be a sync file. Please suggest me splitting and saving the large file for this format, will actually works.

Hi We are trying to onboard the CRM Attribute in AAM ( Non PII ) As a test, I took sample file from and build the Key-value pair for the attribute as syntax provided by AAM (ID     "xx"="250")Demdex id sync is configured to capture declared ID Extracted Declared ID from AA to map to AAM for 100 % match Create the respective trait as per file.Created the sync file as per source Uploaded the sync file to the Demdex ftp File is processed The onboarding show file processed but show error Stored records = 0  no format errors but still no data.cay you guess what can be the error. I dont see any issue on files . Do AAM team need to enable some config to accept the crm files ? in / in folder

What is the duration after which data is available for targeting when ID Sync is done after file upload If the data provider is configured to use Profile Merge Rules for cross-device targeting ? I am using last authenticated profile merge rule with cross device data source. Uploaded a file with 100 Ids. As per below explanation I did ID Sync for 3 ids after file upload and later created a Target activity qualifying those 3 Ids. However it doesn't work for those 3 Ids. It is working file for all the other Ids for which ID Sync was done before file upload. Can anyone please help me understand  how below explained scenario works ? I have done it as a batch destination to a S3 bucket, so the external Customer ID matching part is clear. In audience manager, is it possible to enrich and match 1st party data (containing PII data) with 2nd or 3rd party data? If yes, where can they be used (through Campaign only or also via DSP's)?

There are two ways in which one can validate, if the URL destinations are triggered correctly or not:1. On mobile app, we are trying to sync the customer ID but not sure when that needs to occur. Here is the current scenario:#1 Non-Registered User Launches AppOn app launch, demdex.net call containing parameter d_cid_ic with value DSID_20915=device advertising ID fires.#2 Non-Registered User Signs into AppOn sign-in event, a new demdex.net call containing parameter d_cid_ic with value XYZ_id=uniqueuserid fires.#3 Registered User Launches AppOn app launch, demdex.net call containing parameter d_cid_ic with value DSID_20915=device advertising ID fires.The question we have is around situation #3. When a registered user launches the app, should there only be one demdex call that syncs the device advertising ID or should we be expecting two demdex call? One that syncs the advertising ID and one that syncs the unique user ID seen in #2?

Hi all, Pl refer to URL: https://github.com/Adobe-Marketing-Cloud/audiencemanager-profilelink It reads "If the customer ids were to contain PII information (eg. real names, email addresses etc.), we would first ngeed to perform a one-way hash of the PII data (which will make it infeasible to invert) before sending it to Audience Manager.". What do we mean by infeasible to invert? Does this mean that once we encrypt the data, we cannot decrypt? Who could decrypt it? At least AAM should be able to correct? If no one is able to decrypt, what happens to that PII data? Appreciate your support. Thanks, Rama.

Hi Guys,I was wondering to make assumptions that the traits in AAM works at hit level while the segments tie the hits & visits togther on the visitor level. Is my assumption correct or am I missing something here?Consider a scenario wherein I create a trait like order conversions on homepage (which is invalid but I can create!), now if I create a trait like :1. pageurl contains homepage AND c_event = "order". Will my trait have any data, if not, can I assume traits are at hit level.scenario 2:trait 1: pageurl contains homepagetrait 2: order confirmation eventwhen I create a segment "users who ordered on homepage", I define it as segment 1=trait1 AND trait 2. It shows me data, which means segments are definitely at visitor level, as there can't be orders on the homepage.Now the question remains, are the traits realise at hit-level whereas segments at visitor level?RegardsE
