What is the use of OberonXml?

ok using the oberon XML in workspace what can I achieve? Trying to understand the purpose of that.

Analysis workspace uses Oberon XML to fetch data using Adobe analytics api 2.0.

You can use the same xml to fetch analytics data programatically like in a python script etc and then use that data outside of workspace.

I tried to follow this video, but when I go to Workspace, the adobe object doesn't exist when I try to type it in the console. Why is that?
