WebSDK Migration - Analytics and Target

I am in the process of transitioning my Analytics and Target setup from using AppMeasurement and AT.js to WebSDK.

I have a Global Target and a Global Analytics Rule that fires on every page. Additionally, I have several other rules that fire on specific events or a subset of pages to track interaction/click etc. I'd prefer not to migrate all the rules at once to make it easier to roll back changes or debug issues.

Can I have my Global Target and Global Analytics run on WebSDK (on every page), while still having other rules run on the legacy AppMeasurement.js or AT.js to track interactions/clicks etc.? (Especially for analytics.)

Hi @sm0024

Reach out to support and get Adobe's official view. The AEP tends to sometimes act a little surprising - to put it mildly - and I would expect implications if you are doing a partial transition. Though it should migrate the ECID cookie for, I could imagine that Target calls through the WebSDK architecture might not be aware of at.js calls happening on the same page, leading to potential side effects.

Gut feeling says try to do it all at once,if possible. Yet again, better check with Adobe first.

Cheers from Switzerland!
