Unspecified in eVar with instances metric

I have enabled one eVar5 as merchandising eVar with product syntax. It is defined in all the rules where s.products is defined. And the value of eVar5 is hard-coded. But I am seeing an issue with this eVar5.

-- seeing "unspecified" in report , even with metric as instances of eVar5.

Have you added eVar5 in s.linkTrackVars= 'eVar5';  Probably it should solve the issue - s.linkTrackVars

Have you added eVar5 in s.linkTrackVars= 'eVar5';  Probably it should solve the issue - s.linkTrackVars

asheeshp​ Yes , that was already handled in s.linkTrackVars . The "unspecified line item also attributing to events as well. When the user added the product , we are firing event2 in s.events , and s.products will have productID and eVar5 as prod category. The image request containing both event2 and s.products=" ;123;;;;eVar5="clothing"; . When I run eVar5 report and put event2 as an event i am seeing some unspecified count to event2 and some with properly attributed to "clothing" line item in report. Note that eVar5 is hardcoded in products syntax in launch.
