Traffic not tied up to UTMs

I am working on a application where users land on domain 1 with UTMs and on click will navigate to domain 2 that opens in a new tab. Both the domains have Adobe Launch enabled ( 2 Properties) but data being sent to same report suite. During reporting we noticed activities on domain 2 are not tied up to UTMs and instead accounted as Direct Traffic.

what would be right approach here to connect UTMs to domain 2 traffic

Hi @kinnera ,

 

This could happen due to two different visitorsID generated one for domain A and another on domain B. The visitorID is generated using the Adobe OrgID. Can you check if both DomainA and DomainB impmetations use same Adobe ORGIDs/instances?

 

Also you mentioned activites are mapped to direct traffic source. This can be fixed by defining Internal URL filters in Analytics reprotsuite general settings also fixing Marketing Channel Processing Rules.

    Both the domains are on same org instance

    Hi @kinnera , You need to pass the UTM values from domain 1 to domain 2 on on-click of that button. It requires development from launch end and page developer end as well.
