Track concurrent visits over time and by content

Many metrics can be tracked granular to the hour, but visits can only be tracked to the day.  

Website traffic often spikes around email drops, mentions across social news sites or other spontaneous events.  There are other web analytics toolse that do track concurrent visits such as Chartbeat, which also show trending content.  

Showing concurrent visits that are touching the same pages would also be useful to identify ternding content.
