sudden spike in referring domain traffic which has noreferrervalue.

sudden spike in referring domain traffic when compared with last year which has noreferrervalue. What could be the reason?

"noreferrervalue" looks like a custom value that is being set.. that is not an Adobe standard... if there is no value, Adobe defaults to "unspecified".

 

I would first try to understand where "noreferrervalue" is being set (is it in the tracking somewhere? is it part of a processing or vista rule? etc)

 

This may be due to an implementation issue where your referrer data is being overwritten with this?
