StoreBot-Google - Automatically Filtered by Adobe Analytics?

Is StoreBot-Google automatically filtered out be Adobe Analytics? Other data sources show this bot hitting our site millions of times this year, but we see less than 1,000 instances in Adobe Analytics for the StoreBot-Google User Agent.

Hi @turtlesaviour79

if you have enabled bot rules and the IAB Bot List filter in Adobe Analytics, there is a good chance that this bot is filtered out out of the box (even though I wonder why there are still 1000 instances). Since this is a "good"/official bot that crawls website, it likely identifies itself by its User Agent and can hence be left out.

It's possible that StoreBot was recently added to the IAB bot filtering list? This list is reviewed monthly to ensure that new bots are added to the list to help people maintain clean data... it's possible those 1000 hits were made right before the IAM list was updated (Bot filters are not retroactive)
