Session Depth vs. Hit Depth

Hello!

We are trying to understand the first page of a session in CJA, but without success. One of the things we though might help was bringing in session depth (_experience.analytics.session.depth) which is supposed to be a variable used in the Hit Depth Dimension. Our Hit Depth Dimension is working great and pulling in data just fine in Adobe Analytics, but Session Depth does not.

Does anyone know what we might be missing? Thank you!

Few things about visit depth:

Visit depth increases only if the hit is a page view, and the Page dimension is not the same as the last page view’s dimension item. It is a visit-based dimension, meaning that it contains the same value for the entire visit. This variable is set for all hits in a visit after that visit concludes.
