Hi ,

i am trying to create a sequential filter or segment in CJA

which has this logic like customer who have shoped after clicking the email link

so the segment would look like this

Email = click

then , After 1 week

Shop purchasers

but here what would be the option to be selected for this result

should it be after one day or after one week or within one day or one week

Hello @dineshpr

If you are looking for customers who shopped after one week of the clicking link in email, you should select after 1 week. But if there is any limit after 1 week, you can add that criteria too. see below for your reference.

Hi @dineshpr ,

Krishna is already explained.

Options and What They Mean:

  • "Within 1 week" = The purchase happened within 7 days after the email click.

  • "After 1 week" = The purchase happened more than 7 days after the email click.

  • "Within 1 day" = Purchase happened within 24 hours.

  • "After 1 day" = Purchase happened more than 1 day later.

If your goal is to include only those who purchased more than 1 week after clicking the email, then:

Select: "After 1 week"

This ensures you’re only including customers where the purchase happened after 7 days from the click.

The above two comments are great for explaining the options for the 'then' conditions, so I won't repeat that. But I do want to add there is one other thing to consider. In the top right of the segment you have "include everyone", there are also options for "include only after sequence" and "include only before sequence." Because you're doing this at a fan (I'm assuming that's visitor) level, you probably also want to limit it to "include only after sequence."

Basically, if someone places an order, clicks on an email, and then places another order. If your sequence is clicks on an email and then places an order, and you "include everyone" that will count both orders. If you limit it to "include after sequence" it will only include the second order (and any other orders that happen after that.

So, in addition to the 'then' options, also consider the level of your segment and the include options.
