React & best practices with an Adobe Analytics implementation

Question

Our website is being rewritten using React. This gives us a chance to follow best practices with our Adobe Analytics (currently) manually done implementation.

What setup is a best practice for Adobe Analytics (we're not ready to go to Web SDK yet)? We are looking at Data Collection and adding ACDL. (There doesn't seem to be a definitive version of "best practice" specified. I understand that things change quickly, so no one wants to be pinned down. But there must be something close to standard right now.

Are there any pitfalls that React can introduce?
