Mobile App Timestamp

When we enable offline tracking in mobile apps then both offline and online hits will have device timestamp instead of Adobe timestamp. 

if I want to retain Adobe server timestamp for online hits and device time stamp for offline hits, can I remove device timestamp from the online hits? When hits without device timestamps arrive to the Adobe servers, I believe they should get Adobe server timestamped. Is my understanding correct?
