Make time-based segments compatible with data warehouse requests

I can create segments based on an event happening during a time period, say "3 days ago", but these are not compatible with data warehouse requests.  It would be very useful if this functionality were added to data warehouse requests.  For example, it would provide valuable insights to be able to segment users who did an event "3 days ago" but then report on what events/behavior they did today (or yesterday).
