Internal URL Filters - adding filter post live

Hello,

We've released a few "Internal to our site" webpages, however the domain was not added to the Internal URL filters.

I have two questions:

1. If we're to add this new domain now, will all previous reported referral pages remain?

2. Once the filter has added will this traffic become "session refresh"

Hi @sdr1

1. changes to the internal URL filters are not retroactive

2. session refresh actually only happens when your session times out, and your referrer is the internal domain. So, this is in general a rare condition if you left your tab open, go for lunch and come back 31 minutes later. But yes, in theory these people might turn into a session refresh since the referrer now contains an internal domain. But then again, your page isn't reloaded and the new library version isn't on the client as well.

bottom line: I don't think this will be a relevant marketing channel case once you change the processing rules

I agree with @bjoern__koth; as the rules aren't retroactive nothing will change immediately.. And when it comes to your Marketing Channels, unless another Marketing Channel is set for those users, they will retain those "Referral" channels until the expiry....
