Internal IP Exclusion is Not Working to Exclude the Internal Traffic/Users
Context:
We are trying to block internal traffic for a specific domain using Adobe Analytics. The expectation is that no page URLs or hits from internal users should appear in the Dev Report Suite.
Steps Taken:
- Went to Admin > Exclude by IP.
- Selected the Dev Report Suite.
- Added our list of internal IPs (public-facing IPs used by me) to the exclusion list.
- Configured the domain so that it is captured only by the Dev Report Suite.
Problem:
Even after adding the IPs to the exclusion list, we still see visits and page URLs in the Dev Report Suite. This is unexpected because the Dev environment is only accessible to internal users, and those IPs should be excluded.
Goal:
Ensure that internal traffic is completely excluded from the Dev Report Suite so that no page URLs or hits appear. This is test and trail to exclude the internal traffic/users from our PROD suite. We just want to capture the external traffic/users for our website.
Am I missing any steps in terms of Adobe Analytics to configure/restrict/exclude the internal traffic? Do we want to do any more steps in the tags level? Please do let me know.
