Include Benchmarks in SiteCatalyst Reports

I propose adding benchmarks to SiteCatalyst reports to gain a better understanding of how my website statistics compare against other industry verticals. Our clients continue to demand context around the data we provide. With benchmarking data (customized by industry), we'll be able to provide valuable context for our stakeholders so that we can take action on those insights and gain a better understanding of how we are performing against similar industries.

    Maybe a Genesis link with Hitwise could provide this, rather than Omniture using their data as there are probably all sorts of privacy bits in Omniture clients contracts

    Great point, PKUK.

     

    Does anyone else think using HitWise or another company would meet the need? We're watching privacy laws closely, and this may be a factor.

    I would prefer that Omniture follow the Coremetrics model for creating its benchmark reports. Sometimes, its ok to follow a competitor's idea.
