How to track bit.ly shortened URLs from Twitter?

We tweeted a bit.ly URL, http://bit.ly/1S2scLX for example, that linked to our homepage. Is there a way to tell how many instances this was used by using Adobe Analytics? I see https://t.co/XXX but no bit.ly referrers in the Referrers Report.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out.

Tracking your referrer from bit.ly involves redirects, so you might want to look at this whitepaper - https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/sc/implement/redirects_overview.html

If you have Adobe Social, it has the capability to track clicks from bit.ly. Or you can use a query string parameter to identify the referrers.

Thanks!

The white paper you linked here leads to a "page not found" error. Can you please post the current/correct link that answers this question?
