High Entropy Client Hits

Hi everyone, I hope you are well.

A little late to the party here, but recently spotted about the ability to use High-entropy client hints to improve OS/Browser reporting as user agent strings get frozen on some browsers (more info here: Client hints | Adobe Analytics)

It seems simple enough to implement through App Measurement and seems like an obvious thing to do However, I noted that the documentation states that by default these are not collected by default by App Measurement or the SDK . This makes me wonder if there is good reason not to do this.

So my questions are:
Is there any reason not to do this?
Has anyone who has done this noticed much of a change in their reporting?

Hi @tcrewes1 ,

Adobe partners with DeviceAtlas to perform a user agent lookup to populate standard device related reports. Due to contractual obligations Adobe has with DeviceAtlas, Adobe cannot share both device lookup information and user agent information on the same event. Because of this you can choose either Device Lookup fields or User Agent Client Hints field to be collected and not both.

You can opt to choose one or the other based on your needs, this can be done through Configure device lookup setting in Adobe datastreams for WebSDK.

Cheers!
